What is a CrossFit Licensed Event?
A CrossFit Licensed Event is an official designation granted by CrossFit, recognizing and approving competitions that take place outside the regular CrossFit Games season. This designation ensures that these events meet specific standards set by CrossFit, providing an official stamp of approval. To qualify for this licensing, event organizers are required to hold a CrossFit Level 1 certificate, demonstrating their foundational knowledge of CrossFit principles. Additionally, they must either own a CrossFit affiliate or be sponsored by one, ensuring that the competition is closely tied to the CrossFit community.
